Twenty20 World Cup Live Streaming | Pakistan vs Netherlands

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

ICC World Twenty20 | Match: Pakistan vs Netherlands | Date: 9th June 2009 | Watch the Live Telecast of the match on star cricket from 6:00 pm India Time | For Live Cricket Streaming of the match refer to the official website of the ICC. Please note that this blog doesn’t show or support any unauthorized live cricket sopcasts.

Pakistan is batting first in this do-or-die match for them where they not just have to beat Netherlands but also need to beat them by a sufficient margin so that they overtake the dutch on the Net Run Rate count. Remember that the Dutch beat England in the first match, and Pakistan lost their match to England.

Pakistan is fast moving towards a 180+ score and if they can do that, that should put them in a good position. However, for them winning is not sufficient, and it is imperative that their opening bowlers strike early so that the Netherlands innings never really gets off.

Watch the Live Streaming of the match to find out if the Netherlands can sneak in into the next round of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, or will it be Pakistan!

Pakistan Vs West Indies | Future Cup ODI Series | Abu Dhabi

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Live action in the Future Cup ODI Series between Pakistan and West Indies got off today to a rocking start in the newly built ground in Abu Dhabi. I watched the match live on TV on Ten Sports – regarding watching the match live or for streaming info, please share info in the comments area below.

In the 1st One Day of the Future Cup, West Indies batted first and powered by Captain Chris Gayle’s sixes and fours, West Indies got off to a great start. Gayle scored a great 100 and West Indies should have scored more than the 294 which they finally did. At one stage, they looked set for a score in excess of 330, but that was not to be. The last 5 batsmen collected only 17 runs between them, and besides Gayle who scored 113 and Sarwan who scored 55, no one gave the right support that was required to take the score beyond 300 and more. However, the score looked good enough till the day’s final over was bowled!

Pakistan got off to a sedate start, with Salman Butt especially struggling to connect. It was captain Shoaib Malik who gave the Pakistan innings the required thrust with a brisk 66 off 50 balls. However the West Indies looked in control of the cricket match throughout the game, untill hell broke loose in the last over. Pakistan required 17 runs off the last over, and when Fawad Alam took a single off the first ball, 16 runs off 5 balls were required and West Indies looked firm favourites. But then Kamran Akmal sent Jerome Taylor packing for two consecutive sixes to turn the match on its head, and give Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the Future Cup.

The 2nd Future Cup Pakistan vs West Indies ODI is on 14th November. You can watch the cricket match live from 11:00 am GMT. Please share live cricket info in the comments area below.

Mohammed Yousuf may join ICL again

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Mohammad Yousuf
Mohammad Yousuf

Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf, who was just named in the 15 member squad announced by the PCB to tour West Indies is back in news – the Pakistan cricketer, according to family sources is now in Delhi, India to play cricket – what that effectively means is that Yousuf is rejoining the ICL. It will be interesting to see if he does play in the ongoing second edition of the rebel Indian Cricket League, and if he does, for which team.

So far there has been no confirmation from any of the parties concerned – no word from Yousuf and none from the PCB, ICL or the BCCI. If Yousuf does indeed take part in the ICL again, it is almost sure that that will be the end of his international career as a Pakistan cricketer.

The ICL had already filed a case against Yousuf for deserting the ICL after having signed a contract; while that case may well be withdrawn, Yousuf can expect fresh cases against him from the PCB. One hope for the person in the middle of the storm could be the statement by the new chief of the PCB, Izaj Butt. Butt had given hope to the many Pakistan players in the ICL saying that the ‘bans on the ICL players’ has to be relooked into as he doesn’t see any difference between the IPL and the ICL.
