After a brilliant 89 from the Indian skipper Dhoni, team India managed to score 544 on the 3rd day of the 2nd test match between Ind & Bang. At the start of Bangladesh’s 2nd innings, the visitors were leading by 311 runs.

Bangladesh were also not too far behind in their second innings. Tamil Iqbal played a gem of an innings and scored Bangladesh’s fastest test century which came in only 101 balls. Tamim’s wicket was taken by Zaheer Khan when he was at 151. Junaid Siddique also played very well for his half century. He was also picked up by Zaheer Khan.

Bangladesh batsmen are looking good but there is very little hope for them. Two full days to go and Bangladesh is still trailing by 83 runs. Mohammad Ashraful and Shahadat Hossain are at the crease.  Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmadullah played well in the 1st Test match and they look in a good form. Now its upto the skipper of Bangladesh Shakib al Hasan who is yet to fire in this series along with ex captain, Mohammad Ashraful to save Bangladesh in the 2nd Test at Mirpur.

After a bad performance by Bangladesh (and good bowling by Indian Bowlers) on the 1st day of the 2nd Test Match, India did not waste the opportunity and both the openers (Viru and Gambhir) scored half centuries and gave India a good start. Sehwag departed at 56 and Gambhir scored 68 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar, who scored a century in the 1st innings of the 1st Test Match, played well for his 45th Test century which came on the 2nd day of the 2nd Test Match. Rahul Dravid, the wall, also scored a century but retired hurt at 111.

India would ideally like to score in the range of 600 runs before declaring and some of the betsmen will definitely like to score big runs. At present, India is at 459/5 and both the bastmen are looking good. Its wa a good opportunity for Murali Vijay to come in the middle order and impress the selectors but he could only manage 30 runs. Skipper Dhoni is still on the crease and he will be joined on the 3rd day by Yuvraj Singh.
