Match Preview: India vs Sri Lanka
India find themselves in such a precarious position thanks to the horrible way in which they played and lost their first two Super 8 matches against Australia and West Indies. The short ball was the undoing of many Indian batsmen, and now they are in a must win situation against Sri Lanka.
The good thing for India is that the venue has now shifted from Kensington Oval to the Beausejour Stadium which is slower in nature and should suit the Indian batsmen and bowlers more. But for India, just winning will not be enough. They will need to defeat Sri Lanka by at least 20 runs to overtake Sri Lanka’s Net Run Rate.
And after that hope that Australia continue with their good form, and beat West Indies.
So don’t miss the live telecast of the two Super 8 matches tonight which will decide who amongst India, Sri Lanka and West Indies will make it to the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup.
