The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin – less than 24 hours to go before the opening ceremony of IPL 2010 begins at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai. This is the 3rd edition of the hugely successful and popular T20 tournament; last year the IPL T20 Championship was held in South Africa due to security concerns in India, but this time it is back in India and already there has been a glitzy advertising campaign about the homecoming of the IPL therefore the buzz around cricket’s showpiece Twenty20 tournament is back.

A spectacular opening ceremony is expected tomorrow in Mumbai. A dazzling array of stars from around the world have been invited to perform on this occassion: you will see performances from Ali Campbell, Lionel Richie amongst many others. While Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is expected to hold centrestage, you are also bound to see many other Bollywood stars including IPL owners Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, Juhi Chawla amongst many others.

The opening ceremony will be followed by the first match of IPL 2010: Deccan Chargers vs Kolkata Knight Riders. So don’t miss the live telecast or the live streaming of the opening ceremony and then the match tomorrow evening. It’s going to be quite a show!
