A good batting display by Pakistan openers, Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt gave their team a good start in the 1st ODI against Australia at Gabba. However, Australia made a comeback by taking 03 quick wickets. Kamran was the first to leave at 34 and then 02 quick wickets of Salman Butt and Mohammad Yousuf has put Pakistan under some pressure.

Ex Captain, Younis Khan is playing well along with Kamran’s younger brother Umar Akmal. They still have two good explosive batsmen left in their line – up – Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi. Pakistan is currently scoring at 5 runs per over and anything above 275 looks like a good total here.

I am watching the match live on Star Cricket and just saw Umar Akmal depart.  He scored 23 runs off 26 balls. Pakistan is now in more trouble and they need the experience of Younis Khan and Shoaib Malik to repair their innings. I will be back with more updates soon.
