No one was ever in doubt of Brendon Mc Cullum’s talents but the problem was that he came good only once in a while, the frequency only a little better than Mohammad Ashraful’s. Today is a different though, it seem. Mc Cullum coming good twice in succession is good news for the batsman, and better news for the team. New Zealand have got off to a good start in the all important deciding one day match againt Pakistan, largely thanks to Mc Cullum. As I write, New Zealand are comfortably palced at 116/2 in the 22nd over with our man already on 71. They look good to reach 300, and that should then make them favourites to win the series when Pakistan begin their chase. But that is, only if, they don’t lose their way from here.
