Laxmipathy Balaji has been brough into the India team for Sri Lanka to replace the injured Munaf Patel. However he is unlikely to play in the match tomorrow as Dhoni would be keen to not tinker with his winning combination.

India lead by 2-0 at the moment and if India win the match tomorrow, Dhoni’s team will equal India’s longest sequence of eight ODI wins. Sri Lanka have looked the inferior team in both the matches, and I will be surprised if they can buck themselves up to challenge this highly confident Indian team.

Though India has won both the matches, India’s lower batting order looks weak – if Zaheer Khan is your best batsman amongst the 4 bowlers there surely is a problem. In the last match, India made a mess of the power-play overs and one of the reasons for Dhoni not being able to attack freely was that he knew that the batting to follow was not upto the mark. Both Murali and Mendis had overs left, and Dhoni wouldn’t have been not too keen to expose his weak tail for too long in front of these master spinners.

On the batting front, India have otherwise looked good. The bowling has been superb and the fielding has been average. For Sri Lanka, they will need a good knock from either Jayasurya or Sangakkara and will hope that Jayawardene can continue with his recently found form.

The match will be Live Telecast on Neo Cricket – 2:30 pm India Time.
